I had specific questions regardingthe Safety of this unit regarding using it in my parrot too . I wrote to customer service about specific safety questions and they got back to me with answers I’m very quickly! it keeps the room at an even 73 as set- paired with the external thermostat it’s a consistent even heat safe for pets!
I use this in my Rv. Easy to operate, heats well and seems to be gentle on my electric bill. I need mord time to evaluate that to swear on it though but so far so good. However, I do recommend this unit for anyone needing aux heat.
Fort Myers FL. Temps dropped below 50 degrees and our heating element went out. This little heater is a champion. It has run 8-10 hours a day. Raised the temp in the living area (kitchen, dining room) to 70 degrees without complaint or any issues. Wish I had 3 more of them. I realize it’s the luck of the draw when you buy something but I have to say this little guy has been a life saver.

Got Heat..Yes! I ordered the smallest unit, only 750 watts for a tiny art studio in the Colorado Mountains and it works great..just give the space a blast on high first thing in the morning then turn it to low from there. We had a delivery issue at our local post office and the Heat Storm team was on it without delay..will be ordering larger units for home as soon as possible.

So sitting in my living room and the heater was on and all of a sudden I smell something melting or burning so panic sets in I’m looking for this smell then I hear something go POP yep it’s the heater and plug. I look at it and brown pull the plug out it’s melted my outlet is blown. And melted. So need a whole new wire new blue box and new out let and now the smell is so strong! I have kids I’m glad I was here I 10/10 do not recommend I was all for this heater until today I’m terrified I’m glad it was taken off Amazon because it’s not safe and I’ve seen this happen with others to. I feel like it should be recalled and worked on. Now I’m with out heat and out my money and my money for the protection plan to because I don’t want another one. Again I have kids we are lucky I have photos of this to!

I received this product broken out of the box. It never turned on. I have called in excess of 10 times to heat storm and have received no phone call. I am very unhappy with my purchase and I will not recommend this company anymore due to the lack of customer service. This is unfortunate because I have purchased five heat storm products and I have never had an issue in the past. And the one time I have an issue I can't even get a representative to answer the phone. Or even a return phone call after leaving multiple messages.

This is my 4th Heat Storm Phoenix Infared Space Heater. The heaters are great because they don’t take up any floor space, and do a good job heating our 100 year old farmhouse. My only disappointment is they changed the display panel to turn off while it’s operating. I understand it’s an energy saving feature but how much energy is it actually saving. I preferred the display panel to stay on like my other 3 heaters so I can easily see the room temperature and settings. I still love the heater but I’m not a fan of the panel going black while it’s on.

I'm questioning the good reviews...unless I just happened to get a dud. I have a 20x24 garage, or 480 sq ft. This is supposed to heat up to 1000 sq ft. 2 of the garage walls face inside the house, one wall has some insulation, and of the garage door itself is brand new costing me $6,000. Now to be fair, I live in Upstate, NY where it gets cold. But this thing is running pretty consistently. What's worse is that it continues to drop the external thermometer connection, switching to the internal thermometer. The internal thermometer is reading almost 20 degrees higher than the external thermometer. I get that heat rises and the unit is near the top of the garage, but it's not THAT much different. I did let customer service know. Took them 5 business days to get back to me to tell me to jump through hoops (get on the ladder to take a picture of the sticker in the back, retype what the problem is that I explained over 2 emails, etc.) to POSSIBLY address the problem. My guess is they send me another external thermometer that works just as poorly as the original one. Again, maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad unit, but when you spend this kind of money, including a professional to install, you expect decent results. Gave it 2 stars as is does actually heat the garage, but I'm dreading to see the additional cost to my energy bill. I'm guessing when this is all over I will have wasted my money and end up having to get a mini-split heat pump. The only reason I didn't start there was due to all of the good reviews about this product, so I wanted to write this review to warn others. Now, if you live in a warmer climate where you just want to increase the temps maybe 5-10 degrees, this may work ok for you, assuming your external thermometer works. But I wouldn't recommend for colder climates based on my experience. Good luck!

A terrible experience buying this item, honestly.
The shipment arrived way too late, in terrible condition, and incomplete. Their customer service never answered a call, and the emails I sent were ignored. Truly a terrible experience. I don't recommend it.
I’ve tried to reach out to customer service multiple times and they refuse to pick up the phone or return emails while the device itself is adequate the problems I’ve had with contacting the company over basic issues mean that this is a worthless purchase
