Heat Storm - Outdoor Infrared Heaters

Outdoor dining in northwest Indiana calls for infrared heaters

June is usually the official beginning point for outdoor dining in the Great Lakes region. In downtown Valparaiso, Indiana, there are several restaurants that have implemented patio seating. An establishment known as Don Quijote was one of the first eateries in the area to use outdoor dining because of its traditional value. In order to keep customers coming throughout the colder months of fall, restaurant managers will need the targeted warmth of infrared heaters.

According to The Chicago Sun-Times, many of these restaurants in Valparaiso offer a fantastic view of the town square and relaxing street life. Other nearby diners that feature outdoor dining are a Greek seafood restaurant known as Parea, Popolano’s Italian in Chesterton and Bistro 157.

“People like to take in the first breath of warm weather around here and enjoy getting outdoors for lunch or a drink and appetizer after work,” the owner of Bistro 157, Nicole Bissonnette, told the news source. “After being cooped up indoors all winter, it feels good to enjoy the fresh air.”

At a cost of less than 14 cents per hour, the energy efficiency of infrared heaters can keep business steady during the winter. Propane heaters, however, cost at least three dollars per hour to operate on a consistent basis.
