Heat Storm - Outdoor Infrared Heaters

Construction at the University of Oregon presents the need for infrared heaters

07.2.11

Within the next few weeks, construction is expected to begin on the University of Oregon campus. Planners are putting the designs for a new athletic administration building into action. To battle the cold temperatures of the Pacific coast, crews will need the comfort that the targeted warmth infrared heaters can provide.

According to The Register Guard, this project, which includes the additions of football practice fields and a new stadium, will bring hundreds of construction jobs to the area. The first phase of construction is expected to begin in June, while the actual groundwork won’t begin until August. Although some parking spaces will be lost in the process, the university is coming up with ways to accommodate fans of the university’s teams.

At a cost of less than 14 cents per hour, the energy efficiency of infrared heaters is superior to that of other sources like propane heaters – which typically cost at least three dollars per hour to operate. Heat Storm devices don’t require nearly as much maintenance as propane heaters, especially since no tanks need to be replaced.
