In Romeoville, Illinois, residents have been waiting for an outdoor dining ordinance to be implemented throughout the town. This week, village board members will vote on the ordinance that will allow a local restaurant to accommodate customers with patio space with certain restrictions. In order to keep customers comfortable during unseasonably cold weather, restaurant managers will need the energy efficiency of infrared heaters. According to Romeoville Patch, the owner of Mickey’s Grille & Pub is seeking to build an outdoor seating area at the Budler Road eatery. If the proposal is accepted by the board members, the area will contain 10 tables that each have a capacity of four patrons. The only restrictions that the board members have requested in regard to the patio are no outdoor music and no smoking, as well as a 10 p.m. closing every night. With the targeted warmth of infrared heaters, restaurant managers can keep their patio space open through the off-season. At a cost of less than 14 cents per hour, Heat Storm devices are superior to other sources like propane heaters. |
