Heat Storm - Outdoor Infrared Heaters

New Hampshire beach renovations warrants the use of infrared heaters

New Hampshire’s Hampton Beach is undergoing renovations to improve the scenery along the shore. Years of bad weather have caused the number of beach-side buildings to dwindle. In order to prevent construction crews from being exposed to life threatening conditions, such as hypothermia, they’ll need the targeted warmth of outdoor infrared heaters.

Mrs. Mitchell’s Gift Shop, which is across the street from Hampton Beach, is also being renovated because of a fire that destroyed the business last year. According to the Associated Press, the entire beach is being reconstructed at a cost of $14.5 million with new pavilions, a visitor center, park offices, extra bathrooms and park benches.

Workers are making their refinements so detailed that the streetlights are all receiving new LED bulbs. A granite statue at the nearby World War II memorial is even receiving an additional sea wall to protect it from erosion.

Along the windy conditions of the Atlantic coast, crews will benefit from the energy efficiency of infrared heaters, which cost less than 14 cents per hour to operate. Other sources of warmth, such as propane heaters, cost about three dollars per hour to maintain.
