Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy has recently signed a bill that will assist the state in repaving and renovating at least 200 miles of roads that were damaged during the brutal winter months this year. This project is expected to produce roughly 1,050 construction jobs. In order to quell the discomfort of frosty mornings and evenings, crews will need the targeted warmth of infrared heaters. According to Land Line News, Connecticut will allocate $50 million in bonds to fix the extensive road failures throughout the state. Although this move is somewhat controversial, as some policy-makers frown at the idea of borrowing money, many people view it as a necessity. Resurfacing the roads is imperative for safety reasons, as well as economic improvement. “The state has, for too long, neglected our transportation infrastructure,” Governor Malloy told the news source. “Leading many of our roads and bridges to languish in woeful need of repair.” At a cost of less than 14 cents per hour, infrared heaters are more energy efficient than other sources, such as propane heaters. |
