Residents and city planners are consulting each other in regard to the visual setup of the newly-renovated waterfront in Fall River, Massachusetts. The construction of hotels, restaurants and shops is centered around the downtown commuter rail stop. Construction crews, and eventually tourists, will need the energy efficiency of infrared heaters. According to The Herald News, some ideas of residents included an aquarium, trolley line, outdoor music venue and bike paths. None of these plans are set in stone, as many people stated the pros and cons. However, everyone at the meeting unanimously agreed about mixed-use development and a more pedestrian-friendly feel for the riverfront. Although some citizens are skeptical of potential parking issues, city council members think this is a good thing.”What you want on your waterfront is a parking problem because it means more people are coming,” City Council President Michael Lund told the news source. Offering a targeted warmth that will not be dispersed by the cold Atlantic breeze, infrared heaters are the most affordable option for sidewalk vendors and restaurant owners who’ll be opening shop on the riverfront. At a cost of 14 cents per hour, Heat Storm devices are a much better alternative than propane heaters. |
