Heat Storm - Outdoor Infrared Heaters

New York City patio debut calls for infrared heaters

Tourists and locals in the East Village neighborhood of New York City can lounge in the sun at the patio of a new Austrian wine bar known as Edi and the Wolf. This relatively new restaurant features the concept of outdoor dining with affordable pricing and exquisite cuisine. In order to keep patrons coming during the chilly nights and off-seasons, restaurant managers will need the directional warmth of infrared heaters.

Although Edi and the Wolf opened just a few months ago, according to New York (NY) 1 News, managers and owners are expecting the business to increase during the spring months. “It’s basically a recycled barn,” restaurant owner Eduard Frauneder told the news source. “It’s a full barn from Wisconsin. We disassembled the structure and we used some wood in some of the interior of the restaurant, and the same wood used on the deck.”

At a cost of less than 14 cents per hour, restaurant owners can use energy efficient devices like infrared heaters to provide their customers with an effective means of comfort. Other sources, like propane heaters, cost at least three dollars per hour to function.
