Offshore wind farm construction assures the need for infrared heaters

In the Nantucket Sound of Massachusetts, the federal government has approved the construction of the first wind farm in the United States. Although the project is still in its planning stage, crews are scheduled to begin work this fall. Especially on the brisk shores of eastern New England, infrared heaters are essential for the comfort of workers who are on a firm deadline.

To take all necessary precautions, the Internal Department’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement claims that there will be no environmental consequences as a result of the construction endeavor. According to Reuters, the project entails constructing 130 wind turbine generators that will be grouped inside of a single grid that’s several miles offshore – in other words, the operation will not distort the view for tourists in resort destinations like Martha’s Vineyard.

Offering a directional warmth that will not be veered by steady winds, the use of infrared heaters is the most energy efficient way to prevent conditions like hypothermia. At a cost of merely 14 cents per hour, Heat Storm devices are superior to other sources, like propane heaters.
