Ice Vineyards and the demand for infrared heaters05.27.11 |

On the Canadian side of Niagra Falls, grapes are grown for wine production in one of the coldest regions in North America. Ontario produces its fair share of ice wines – a name that was dubbed for growing in these conditions – in the form of Rieslings and Pinot Noirs. The wineries, particularly the ones with outdoor seating, need infrared heaters to attract heavier crowds to their unique facilities. With less crowds, winter is often the best time to sample the fruitful taste of Ontario ice wine. According to China Daily, Wineries and vineyards are an important part of the Niagra region’s economy, as many modern facilities came into existence 30 or 40 years ago. Many of the most prominent wineries are just north of Lake Ontario, alongside famous restaurants and hotels, as well as outdoor sports shops. When it comes to warming patios and lofts, infrared heaters are more energy efficient and cost effective than propane heaters, which cost about three dollars per hour with an average 20 gallon tank. Winery customers can be comfortable with infrared heaters, which cost business managers less than 14 cents per hour. |
