Heat Storm - Outdoor Infrared Heaters

Skate park construction calls for infrared heaters

05.24.11

In The Dalles, Oregon, residents have requested the construction of a skate park, which is currently being planned by Spohn Ranch. Designers are hoping that the park will become a famous landmark in the realm of skateboarding, maintaining its reputation through generations to come. The crew’s only concern is the weather, as dry air is required for much of the layout. In order to keep essential equipment dry, designers will need the targeted warmth of infrared heaters.

An entire community of engineers, landscape architects and skate park advocates have come together to collaborate and ensure the flawless design of the recreational facility. When all is said and done, the park will have a wide diversity of terrain that will cater to beginners and experts alike. Some of the construction methods include fine grading, rebar placement, formwork, concrete placement and shotcrete.

Infrared heaters, at a cost of 14 cents per hour, are more suitable than propane heaters in the cold and moist conditions of Oregon. A 20 gallon propane tank usually runs for 12 to 16 hours before having to be replaced on a constant basis. Infrared heaters save time and money in that regard, offering a more efficient means of comfort in open spaces.
