Oil refinery construction highlights the need for infrared heaters

For several years Hyperion Resources has been planning and constructing an oil refinery in Elk Point, South Dakota, which will eventually produce 400,000 barrels per day. Hyperion anticipates that this project will create 4,500 construction jobs during the building process. With such a large number of workers in a cold and windy environment, the need for smooth directional warmth of infrared heaters is unquestionable.

Creating 1,800 permanent jobs, the refinery will drastically improve the local economy. However, according to NBC affiliate KTIV, some citizens argue that the placement of the facility is harmful due to the impact it will have on the environment. Because this project is so controversial, Hyperion has extended the construction deadline.

Heat Storm devices are superior to alternative sources, especially propane heaters – which typically cost about three dollars per hour. Infrared heaters cost less than 14 cents per hour to operate, and they’re much safer for the environment. Instead of wasting money and time on propane tanks, cold weather construction workers find that infrared heaters are much more convenient.
