The construction of Interstate 93 in New Hampshire is going to reach new levels when the winter weather finally breaks. The massive four lane road is being widened to ease the stress on commuters in the southern part of the state. Infrared heaters present the perfect opportunity for road workers to stay warm during the initial months of spring. “We have three existing contracts that have been in winter shutdown,” Peter Stamnas, state Department of Transportation project manager, told the Eagle-Tribune. “And three new construction projects that were recently awarded.” Scheduled to wrap up in 2018, the project is presently the most massive construction operation in the state – especially since the goal is to improve the volume of traffic between Boston and Manchester. The projected estimates through 2018 are approximately $800 million. Infrared heaters provide directional warmth, which gives them the capability to keep important machinery and tools from freezing during cold nights. Heat Storm devices are also safer for the environment than traditional sources, such as propane heaters, converting an affordable wattage of electricity per hour. |
