Outdoor dining pavilions and infrared heaters04.26.11 |

In 2009 an illustrious outdoor dining pavilion was constructed by Lancaster County Timber Frames Inc. Offering traditional Pennsylvania Dutch style cooking, the pavilion is comprised of fine dining, casual eateries, quaint cafes and other international sensations. In such a large space the masses are more difficult to warm during colder months, and to keep a steady pace of business the restaurant owners need something better than blankets or gas heaters. Infrared heaters are the most reliable alternative to standard sources of warmth. A typical propane heater operates to its full potential for 12 to 16 hours on a single tank, making the national average $2.40 for a gallon of propane. When all is said and done, after the tanks are replaced one after the other, a gas heater will cost about three dollars per hour – whereas an infrared device costs about 14 cents per hour to run. Heat Storm infrared heaters provide the most energy efficient means of comfort, and in a place – such as the Lancaster County Pavilion – where large crowds gather, it’s imperative that measures are taken to ease the stress on the environment. |
