Renovations are currently underway for the site of a potential bed & breakfast inn in Honesdale, Pennsylvania – although the proposal is causing an uproar of fearful citizens to protest. Since there is so much controversy involved, the owners of the site may be forced to put their plans on hold. The use of infrared heaters is the best possible way to keep the building warm while the delays of the debate continue. The proposal is aimed at providing housing for the visiting hospital staff, but members of the mountain community are complaining that the details are too vague. ABC affiliate WNEP reports that they are afraid that the bed & breakfast will act more as a luxury hotel, which will reduce the land value of surrounding properties. “A relaxed environment would be more appropriate to the doctors and medical staff that stay there on a regular basis,” property owner Leonard Schwartz told the news source. (according to WNEP-TV). In order to maintain the building, and prevent tools or cords from freezing, workers will need a reliable source of targeted heat. In this situation propane heaters are inconvenient because there will surely be days when the workers are not around to constantly replace the tanks. Infrared devices are the safest, most energy efficient compromise to a project that is already full of uncertainty. |
