An expanding South Dakota company highlights the need for infrared heaters

In Canton, South Dakota, a paving equipment manufacturer has received permission to build an 80,000 square foot facility in the Canton business park. Since a $2.5 million loan was provided by Lincoln County tax payers, the project must be completed within a year – meaning that there’s no time for delays, regardless of the weather. To prevent any possible mishaps as a result of the cold, construction crews will need the reliability of outdoor infrared heaters.

This is one example of a small town that’s not being hurt by the economy, as the company stays faithful to its employees. Fifty years ago, the company’s original building was strategically placed along the railroad tracks. Since then, different divisions of the same business have been scattered throughout the town. Now, according to KTIV News, it is aiming to put all of their employees under the same roof, and they’ve decided to keep that facility in Canton in order to save jobs.

Propane heaters, costing about three dollars per hour, simply do not provide the quality of directional heat that is offered by Heat Storm devices. Costing less than 14 cents per hour, infrared heaters are imperative for crews who must battle the incessant winds of the Great Plains region.
